Custom Wedding Bouquet Paintings

Why choose an oil painting?
Although other methods of flower preservation exist (such as drying), an oil painting captures the color and vibrance of your bouquet exactly the way it looked on your special day.
You have complete artistic control over a bespoke painting and can customize it to include your wedding date, change the background to better suit your home decor, or even change the florals themselves if you wish something could have been different.
Materials
Each work is created using high-quality professional artists’ oil paints on archival surfaces and varnished to protect from dust and uv damage. If cared for correctly it will last well beyond your lifetime.
I offer two painting surface options:
-Canvas stretched over ½ inch bars
-Inflexible canvas panel board
Both are equally durable but suit different framing plans. I am happy to advise if you’re unsure which is right for you.
Process
1) Send me a message at rrchristensenart@gmail.com with the reference photos you’d like me to use and any specifications or customization details you’re interested in—wedding dates, names, background color, and more.
2) We’ll chat via phone or email to determine the best size for your painting, and I’ll send you a digital mock-up of what the final product will look like.
3) I’ll send you progress photos as I create your painting and highly encourage feedback throughout the process so we can make sure you’re getting exactly what you want.
4) Once the painting is finished and you are completely satisfied, it will be securely packaged up and mailed out to you.
FAQs
How soon can I get my painting?
I ship paintings out approximately 3-4 weeks after beginning them. Keep in mind that oil paint dries slowly and then needs to be varnished and dried again before it can be safely packaged.
What can I expect for pricing?
My prices currently run anywhere from $225 to $650, depending on the painting size you choose.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes, payment plants are available. I do require an initial deposit of 25%, but after that I'm happy to split the remaining balance up as needed.
Do you handle framing?
I can frame the painting for you for an additional fee. I don't automatically include framing as part of a commission because a client's preferred tastes and styles of frame will cause the price to vary. If you are interested in having me frame your painting, simply let me know during the painting process and I will be hppy to accommodate you.
